8 East 18th Street I am usually pretty skeptical to try high end Indian restaurants in NYC. In my experience most offer the same menu, with a higher price point, doing very little to differentiate themselves. When I first heard of → NYC Restaurant week is a time we as NYers use as an excuse to indulge and be merry: Test out some new spots and revisit the old faithfuls… I had such an “interesting” experience at ‘At Vermilion‘ tonight that I forced Tesh (with a weapon) to give me the password to the site → 306 E 6th Street You might have seen this place on Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food, and associate it with the Phaal Challenge. Brick Lane Curry House seems to get a fair share of media coverage, for not only the phaal, but their overall menu. I → 99 Lexington Ave DINER BEWARE! If you frequent my site (wait does anyone ACTUALLY frequent this site, if you do please shoot me an e-mail, I want to hear from my fans.)… as I was saying; if you do frequent my site you know that → 37-47 74th St Jackson Diner has been a long stand tradition in Jackson Height as has it’s neighbor Dehli Palace. As a child I swore off Jackson Diner. I had few bad experiences that left me with a sour taste; well in on → 37-33 74th St If you are looking for Indian food in New York, Jackson Heights is your spot. Many will tell you that Jackson Diner is the place to go, but I have always and will continue to hype up Dehli Palace. Normally, I will end → 232 East 58th St. Buffets and Indian food seem to go hand in hand, so what does it take to stand out from the many Indian buffets available not only in NYC, but in the rest of the country? Chola seems to have found the trick. → 414 N Orleans St Well for once I took a break from work and went out for a nice sit down lunch, while in Chicago. This time I ended up at Klay Oven, in our hunt for Indian food. As most Indian restaurants Klay Oven has a → 150 E 50th St I really wanted to like this place. When I walked in I was surprised to see the decor was not that of a typical Indian restaurant. With that said I had high hopes for the place. We seated in a → 81 Lexington Ave, Saravanass had a great review in the New York magazine, which was the draw as I was with the family and we were looking for a place that served good vegetarian south indian food.
